Big typography in web design is becoming common as companies make an effort to stand out from the pack. This trend might be somewhat akin to the shops on a busy street putting up ever bigger signs in an attempt to grab attention away from their competitors. However, if it is not misused, big type in web design can serve to highlight an important call-to-action or key message.
