Responsive web design is becoming increasingly popular. It allows designers to make websites more accessible across devices. This gallery features eleven new examples of responsive web design inspiration. For more inspiration check out my two previous posts of examples of responsive web design.
For the uninitiated here is a brief overview of what responsive web design is all about. Ethan Marcotte writes in his article for A List Apart that designers are faced with a greater number of devices, input modes, and browsers than ever before. Responsive web design allows a designer to create a page that looks good no matter what sized screen it is viewed on. Instead of being forced to recode each page for each possible viewing scenario, responsive design allows a designer to create rules about how the page will adapt. These rules reconfigure the page depending on the size of the screen it is being displayed on. This means that a design can respond flexibly & automatically to the specific viewing needs of every user.
